Note:  Don’t leave laptop plugged in and running on the sofa overnight.  This is what happens:

Yes, the keyboard melted.  As did the motherboard and the hard drive disks.  It is something awe inspiring to see.  This is what happens when you leave a laptop running, plugged in, on the sofa, with all fan vents blocked.  Just in case you were wondering…

Well, actually, it’s been here for a little while.  I’m kinda behind the times because I have PSG Fever, and haven’t been able to think of anything else but getting my final school work in before I left.  Which I didn’t.  So one paper will be late.  But I can get a C+ without turning it in, so I don’t feel too pressured.  Except it will be the first C I’ve gotten since high school, which I never cared about, not college which I do, so I guess you know what I’ll be finishing tomorrow before leaving for PSG… DAMN!

Anyway…back to Knitty.  Once I finish that stupid useless highly educational term paper, I have a decision to make.  In addition to the four pairs of socks and the sweater I’m currently working on, should I make Shetland Shorty, Inverness, or one of the sock patterns: Muscari or Spring Forward?  Spring Forward is very similar to Waving Lace -

but I love it anyway.  Decisions, decisions.

Well, off to bed, then writing and packing tomorrow, then off to PSG.  As they say at Nasa - T minus 34 hours!

Well, it’s been a long and exciting week. After a sad start, things got better as family came into town for Jason and Ashley’s wedding. Our son, Sandy, got here on Wednesday, and my sister and her daughter, Angie arrived on Thursday. On Friday my brother, John, and his family came to town. Not many pictures…sorry! I was so busy I didn’t think to get out the camera. Saturday was the wedding, and it was beautiful. The bride cried, the congregation cried, the priest almost cried! Ashley was so beautiful in her dress, and Jason looked very suave in his tux. Their first dance was beautiful.

Now imagine him with his black jacket on. It was really special! We even had the mother-son dance.

He chose “Wind Beneath My Wings.” Almost made me tear up…but I persevered! Even Micah danced…a lot! He got a couple of lessons from Susanne:

and then spent the rest of the evening on the dance floor. At one time, it was Micah and three bridesmaids!

They’re off to Jamaica for the honeymoon now, and things are kinda sorta back to normal. The garden is growing.

Those are pumpkins and zuchini. There are also a couple of kinds of lettuce, carrots, tomatos, and lots of herbs. Flowers are in abundance. There are day lillies…

and iris…

and mysterious furry spots…

that turned out to be baby bunnies!

They’re so precious. Luckily, Jeff saw them before he mowed over them. We knew to be on the lookout because the same rabbit made her nest in roughly the same spot last year. There’s at least six of them this year. I guess spring has finally sprung!
